Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) is a state located in the southeastern coast of India. The 5th largest state of India by population, Andhra Pradesh has the second-longest coastline of 972 km (604 mi) among all the states in India. With Hyderabad as its capital, Andhra Pradesh state comprises three regions – Coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema, which are very different in dialect, cuisine, lifestyle and climate.

Andhra Pradesh is promoted as the "Kohinoor of India" by the state government. Serene and calm beaches, historical monuments standing as a representative to 1000 years of history, and large numbers of religious monuments make Andhra Pradesh a preferred tourist destination. Andhra Pradesh holds an important position in the religious tourism map of India, being home to Tirumala Venkateshwara temple in Tirupati, Satya Sai Baba temple in Puttaparthi, Shiva temple in Amravathi and more. 

Andhra Pradesh also has lot in bag for tourists interested in natural beauty with panoramic beaches, and hills and valleys like Araku valley. One of the most important tourist attraction of Andhra Pradesh are the Borra caves that are limestone caves located about 800 to 1300 meters altitude in Eastern Ghats. Andhra Pradesh also stands as witness to 1000 years old history with monuments like Golconda Fort, Charminar standing as evidence to the glory of past.
