Gujarat is the westernmost state of India. A part of Gujarat is projecting out in Arabian Sea. Gujarat shares common border with Pakistan in northwest; and Indian states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Gujarat’s capital is Gandhinagar and its major language is Gujarati. Gujarat is currently on a speed path of development and is classified amongst the most developed states of India. Gujarat is one of the most industrialized states of India. Gujarat is particularly famous for textile and petrochemical industries. Gujarat is also home to the major ports of India leading it to become an important trade and commerce centre of India.

Gujarat has also been an important centre in the Indian independence movement. A traveler visiting Gujarat will be welcomed with the famous phrase ‘Aavo Padharo’. In Gujarat ‘Aavo Padharo’ means ‘Welcome Guest’ and is a representative of the ‘Guest is God’ philosophy prevalent in India. Gujarat provides a mix of all kind of tourism to travelers.
