Karnataka is a land full of rich cultural heritage, religious hot spots, scenic flora and fauna and beautiful beaches. Karnataka is a state that can be classified to be a contrasting state with beautiful palaces and temples as well as huge concrete structures that can be called as marvel of modern engineering. Karnataka state government is running on a war footing to develop the state as a tourist hub. In 2002 the Karnataka state government has decided to give special treatment to entrepreneurs for developing tourism in the state.
