Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, is known as the Queen of hill stations. Located in the Western Ghats at a height of 2240 m, the hill station gives a mesmerizing experience to tourists amongst the hills with coffee and tea. Ooty’s discovery could be attributed to the British, who developed the place as a popular hill stations perfect for their summer retreat by developing facilities like first railway line in the region. Ooty is also surrounded by smaller hill stations like Coonoor (19 kms from Ooty) and Kothagiri (31 kms from Ooty).
