Tiger Sanctuary - Nagarjuna Sagar

Tiger Sanctuary, spreads over 3500 sq.kms, is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh lies between Nagarjunasagar and upstream Srisailam.



Ethipothala Waterfalls - Nagarjuna Sagar

Ethipothala Waterfalls lays 11 km from Nagarjuna Sagar on the Chandravanka River. The waterfall falling from a height of 70 feet with picturesque surroundings is a perfect picnic spot.



Nagarjunakonda - Nagarjuna Sagar

Nagarjunakonda, one of the major tourist attractions of Nagarjuna Sagar, is a small island formed by a hill in the man-made reservoir. It was named after Acharya Nagarjuna, a renowed Buddhist scholar and philosopher, who had migrated here from Amarvati to propagate and spread the Buddha's message of universal peace and brotherhood.

Nagarjuna Sagar is one of world’s largest man-made lake that was formed by the water storage done by the dam on Krishna River. Tourists feel astounded with the sheer size of world’s largest and tallest masonry dam.

Anupu - Nagarjuna Sagar

Anupu is an ancient Buddhist site at 8 km from Nagarjuna Sagar. During the re construction of Nagarjuna Sagar dam, the ruins of an ancient Buddhist University were excavated.
